I purchased this after reading about it on a natural parenting blog. People spoke about how the pod creates a womb like sensation that keeps baby calm while bathing. It’s true and my son who is now 4 months loves it and has never fussed while being bathed in the pod. It was harder to bath him in it when he was less than 8 weeks because of his small size (he was preemie), but overall I really like the design and functionality. You definitely have to be more creative to get in all the cracks and crevices but not having an unhappy and cold baby while you bath them makes it worth the extra effort. I find that if you simply lift the baby up and gently prop them on the edge with their arms you can quickly wash their back and bottom and then sit them back down.

this is like a spa for my baby. I wash her bottom first, then put her in the deep tub and she is a happy baby. even at one week old she stopped crying as soon as she went in. I like this deep tub better than the traditional ones because with those other ones half of their body is out, wet and cold. I used one for my first baby and she never liked taking baths and I don’t blame her. Who likes to be cold when bathing.

Yes, it’s a $30 bucket. But it’s a NICE bucket, with a squishy little seat for baby’s bottom and slanted sides so the baby can see out. Handy little handles make it easy to lift it from the tub to the counter, and I like that it doesn’t need a lot of water.

My sister in law sent this to us, and when I opened the box I laughed and thought “what is this?” Then baby arrived and we tried it out. Now we’re converts! My 3-mo old loves it. If she’s having a rough evening, cranky and crabby and out of sorts, we just give her a bath. She settles in and splashes and likes looking at herself in the mirror. She seems to be very secure, warm and cozy in it, which is great. I have to lift her up to wash her bottom and legs, but that’s OK. My son hated baths at this age, and I’m glad she’s not stressed by the whole bathing process. I don’t know what we’ll do when she doesn’t fit into it anymore.

I thought this would be perfect for my friend and her new son. We both liked the idea that the baby was upright, and in so much comforting warm water – and she was tired of bending over the sink or the bath to bath her son. I was right. She does love it! This thing is just the right size where you can fill it with enough water on the bathroom floor, and you can sit down comfortabley and bath your baby. The baby really likes it too.

I was excited when I saw the washPOD in a magazine ad, there wasn’t a place to purchase it locally so I did so online. The first time we bathed our daughter in the washPOD, it was amazing- she was only a week old, there as no screaming as we had experienced with our oldest. Quite the opposite, her eyes lite up and she look around amazed and happy. It was a bit awkward at first, but as she grew and I got more accustomed it proved to be a wonderful bonding experience. There were many nights when she would become fussy, that I just put her in the washPOD and it soothed her so that she could fall asleep more easily. I’m only sorry that at 7 months it seems she has outgrown it. Try it, be patient, you won’t be disappointed.

i bought this when he was just 5 weeks old and he was noticeably more comfortable in this than the eurobath. the foam seat at the bottom is great! it also makes it easier for me to transport from the bathroom to the bedroom where i prefer giving him his bath. i’m saving the eurobath for when he outgrows the washpod though. but in the meantime, bath time is much more fun for him and also his mom!

For moms who wrote they found it difficult to wash baby in the pod, I recommend watching this instructional video for a similar product on how to wash your baby: [...]

After an hesitating first week with the pod, my son loves it, I wash him first on his changing pad then I rinse him in this tub! well he just enjoys it, he is not even2 months old but he is laughing and smiling when he is in it. The only problem is that is screaming when I got him out of it!!

I was certainly unsure about this purchase having ready some of the other reviews, but we have had no regrets. It was a little difficult in the early weeks using it on a small infant as one person would hold him up while the other bathed him. At 2 months he began sitting up and this was no longer a problem. The pod is a great soother too. When he was upset and having what appeared to be stomach pains soaking in the tub would always seem to help. It just makes sense would you rather bathe in a couple of inches of water or be submerged up to your chest. It is a little snug, but considering where he spent the past 9 months he didn’t seem to mind.

My only real negative is that he is now 17lbs and 26in, so I am afraid our pod days are about to come to an end.
