This was the best gift that I received at my shower. I had purchased a baby tub when my daughter was born, but she slid all around in the slippery tub. We had to wait for daddy to get home to give her a bath because it required two hands to keep her upright. I pulled this bath pillow from the closet and put it to use. It fit in my kitchen sink and cushioned my little one perfectly. I could now easily bathe her myself. She is almost 5 months old now, and we use it in the tub. The pad absorbs enough water to weight it down safely. Although it does dry quickly hanging overnight, it has developed a mildew smell, I would recommend washing it every couple of weeks to prevent this.

What a great, soft, secure, unslippery bath aid! I’ve never felt so comfortable and confident giving a newborn a bath as I do when using the Safer Bather. And my baby girl doesn’t cry through her baths anymore because she’s warm and feels secure because she isn’t slipping around everywhere like she did in her other baby bathtub (the kind with the sling insert).
Let me add … the majority of the reviews I’ve read that aren’t favorable are from folks who don’t seem to be using the Safer Bather properly. For the ones who said it ends up being a “cold sponge” for their baby to lay on … you need to fill the tub a bit more. For those who said it didn’t work well inside their infant tub … it’s made to put in a regular tub. For those who are trying to wring it dry … it’s made to drip dry. If you can’t hang it out to dry in your tub, take it outside to drip dry.

I used this for my daughter’s first bath and 3 months later I’m still using it. Everyone told me how nerve racking it was to bath a slippery wet infant, but with this safer bather and my kitchen sink we’ve had nothing but smooth sailing. She loves her bath everytime thanks to this bather. It fits snuggly into the kitchen sink and I can sit her up or lay her down to clean and play with her. It also fits into our baby bath tub, and every other thing we use to bath her. As long as you take care to rinse it off with cool water after each use and let it hang dry it will last through every bath. It’s comfortable and safe, the perfect way to feel calm and relaxed during those first few baths when you’re a little nervous.

I registered for this after reading all of the great reviews and let me tell you, it is truly WONDERFUL! I use this along with my Infant to Toddler bathtub by evenflo and it fits perfectly. My daughter was rather small at birth (5lbs 3oz.) and she loves it. The first time I used the blue back support that came with the tub, but she seemed to feel so insecure. She spent the entire time grasping at air, looking for something to hold onto and sliding around. Since then I’ve always used this pillow and she sits there like a big girl! I no longer have to use one hand to hold her and one to bath her. Both hands are free. The pillow actually does stay warm (you’d think it would get cold when wet), and it does not mildew as mentioned before. All you have to do is hang it up high (shortly after using it) where it can drain properly with the hanger provided. The evenflo tub I have is a pretty big one and the safer bather sometimes sinks, but I’ve discoverd that I can use the little hanger that came with the pillow to keep the pillow from moving while in use. All you have to do is attach the hanger to the pillow and then put the hanger under the lip(edge) on the back of the tub. Now the safer bather will not move AT ALL! This is my second child and I have never found anything like it. I would absolutely recommend it, ESPECIALLY for little ones and newborns.

This is my standard shower gift for friends. I used one of those awful plastic, hard, cold tubs for a few weeks before being told about this safer bather. It supports babies head, keeps the baby warmer because it absorbs the heat from the water and makes bathing a breeze. My daughter is now 14 months old and we still use it! An absolute must have as far as I’m concerned.

I got this for my daughter almost 7 years ago and this was one of my best shower gifts. It allows the child to float on the water and fully supports them. My husband was a pro doing the bath when she was only a month old. I had trouble finding this a couple of times when I wanted to give it as a gift so I am glad that it is back.

This bather is “DA BOMB”! I don’t know how I bathed my first child without it!!! No trying to manage a wiggly newborn in a hard, slippery, cold plastic tub. Baby fits comfortably and snugly, with an elevated head, in this cushion, allowing mom or dad to use both hands to get the job done! (And don’t tell my hubby, but when “Calgon Takes Me Away” — this bather makes an EXCELLENT cushion behind MY back!) This is the first product I’ve used in a long time that has me wanting to tell everyone what a great find I’ve made!! I can’t say enough good things about this bather. You won’t be sorry!

I’ve heard so many horror stories about baby’s first bath…that they will just cry, cry, cry. My daughter is now 4 weeks old and has never cried in the tub. I absolutely attribute it to the Safer Bather. It absorbs the bath water so it keeps baby warm and it is soft, rather than those hard plastic tubs. I think this is better than the sling method b/c it fully supports the baby. When you are finished, you just push on it to get the majority of the water out, and hang it on the shower head. It dries very quickly. I’ve had no problems with mildew.
I recommend this to everyone! Bathtime is so much fun!

I wasn’t sure about this when I first saw it, but it turned out to be my favorite for bath time! I found that it is not only the most comfortable for my baby, but it soaks up the water so baby stays warm. I read one other review that the person says that the baby “floats” on the water. It does not float! When I read that before I had tried it, it made me nervous.
My one and only complaint is that I wish that it had more padding for the baby’s head. There is quite a bit there, but I usually end up putting a rolled up wash cloth there just so his head is up a little higher. He seems to like it more.
After the bath is done, I just squeeze out as much water as I can and then hang it to dry.
I really believe that it is the best baby bath tub product you could buy…It just hurts to bend over the side of the bath. But, it can also be used in large sinks too (when your baby can’t sit up yet on his own).

This is one of my “can’t live without” baby products. My son is now 2 months old and we have been using this product since he was born. It served as a soft place to put him for the early sponge baths. We now use it in the infant to toddler tub (it fits perfectly!)We pour the warm water over it and it stays warm. He loves his bathtime and smiles the whole time. It sure beats trying to hang on to a wet, slippery baby in a hard plastic tub. Please note that the picture is a bit misleading and they are not sitting up in the Safer Bather, but it can be propped up at an angle in the Infant to toddler tub. I highly recommend this item!!
