I didn’t pick this item, my newborn did. He’s one smart cookie. After he was released to full-on bath duty, we tried several popular products specifically designed for babies. Most of them were too harsh for his skin. The only ones that didn’t cause him to dry out or break out were Burt’s Bees Baby Bee and Aveeno. Baby Bee won out in the end because of it’s soft, sweet smell. And I swear he loves it as much as I do!

I love Burt’s Bees. No matter what I get from them, they always come through! My baby has very sensitive skin. I can’t use dryer sheets or any laundry detergent that has dyes or perfumes. The Burt’s Bees baby lotion and bath are both excellent and never irritate my baby’s skin, even when other baby lotions do.
It has a great, light smell. I pour a little in the baby’s bath, it makes a little bit of bubbles. I don’t use it as a shampoo, but I do love it!

I have been using this for a while now on my 3 year old daughter. Since she was born, the poor thing is plagued with terrible bouts of excema. I have tried EVERYTHING on her; plain water (which doesn’t work well on a marker-filled toddler), Aveeno, baking soda, corn starch, Dove, you name it, I have tried it and every single thing I used made the excema itch and irritate all the more; except Burt’s Bee’s! I love the smell, and she loves it because she can still enjoy her beloved bubble baths and it absolutely does not irritate her skin or her horrible excema. I HIGHLY recommend it!

I bought this because I have very sensitive skin, and the ingredients were so mild (and the reviews were good). Up until now I have only found one other soap or body wash that stops my skin from itching (I have a mild thyroid disorder, that gives me dry itchy skin). I also am allergic to most soaps (break out in rashes…), but not this. Yeah, a new product for me that works! It leaves my skin feeling fairly soft, also.
I am not all that crazy about the scent (sort of baby powder meets honey smell, just a little funky, not bad – but it is, alas meant for babies), but the smell actually wears off my skin fairly quickly, so it doesn’t bother me. I also tend to react to perfumes in soaps and body washes, but this does not set my sinuses off.
If I still had a young child / baby, I would be very comfortable putting this on them. As a person with sensitive skin, I am very happy with it on mine.

I have been concerned about using harsh chemicals on my baby’s skin, so I was so glad to find this natural shampoo/body wash from Burt’s Bees. It does a great job on my daughter’s skin and hair (leaves her hair soft and does not dry out her skin) and now I don’t have to worry anymore about the chemicals.

I love this product for my toddler. Great smell and perfect for bubbles in the bath as well as head to toe cleansing.
Yes, Burt’s Bees has been bought by Clorox. But don’t over react people.
Do some reading and you will find that Clorox is making a big effort to clean up their act and their image. They are teaming up with the Sierra Club on a whole new line of safe cleaning products. Give it a chance, perhaps Burt’s will redirect Clorox, instead of the other way around.

Though Burts Bees sold out to Clorox this is still a good brand. Clorox has started to make environmental safe prouducts. This product makes my baby smell sooooo good. Very yummy! On the label it does say that this product is sodium lauryl/laureth sulfate free, paraben free, and phthalate free. Just to let all of you who want a product free of these toxins. Great product!

I HAD to write a review for this awesome product that was once rated 4.5 to 5 stars until some people brought it down to four just because they were upset that Clorox bought out this company. I am a very choosy customer but am also a very environmental person who does not believe that Clorox deliberately bought out Burt’s Bees to make it the opposite!@#?? After two years of using it on my first baby, I still love how soft and clean it leaves her hair and body and oooh the delicious apricot scent it has. I DO NOT like their buttermilk lotion with the added scent of coconut which smells like the stuff people put on at the beach nor the icky feel of the product but I HIGHLY recommend the Burt’s Bees apricot oil. It’s a little pricey but goes a long way for the buck. It smells just like the bodywash but the scent lingers a lot longer. Also, I HATE oils of any kind but this one just disappears after softening the skin – no greasiness. This bodywash and the apricot oil are the only two skin products I use on my baby. Nothing else is necessary. Thanks for reading my review.

We love this baby wash, the smell is so nice, and it is very gentle. I don’t use soap on my kids every time they bathe as we live in the mountains, and the air is SO dry. This soap is perfect for when the hair starts to look a little dirty.

I understand the other reviewers’ concern over Clorox buying Burt’s Bees, but if they’ll provide a natural, environmentally friendly product, and can do it for less, it’ll mean that more people can afford it and more people will be able to use it.
Yes, they’ll make money, they’re a business, they either make money or go out of business. However, it isn’t inconceivable that they’ll do something good with this. I guess we’ll just have to wait and see.
